Julianna Margulies is cast on the lead. Her role is not very different from ER where she played as a damaged careerist recovering from an unsuccessful suicide attempt, to this where she portrays as a loyal wife and mother whose life turned upside down.
From what I have read in some articles, one of the things that always stood out with Julianna Margulies in ER was the way she balanced the stress of her job with the drama in her personal life and in that respect, it looks like she’ll be a good fit for the role of Alicia Florrick.
