Former Major League Baseball star Sammy Sosa's skin appears to have lightened considerably which led many to speculate what had happened. Sammy Sosa's photographs, accompanied by his wife Sonia Sosa taken at an event in Las Vegas last week revealed a surprising, comically light skin pigmentation on him. UPDATE:
The Chicago Tribune speaks with Rebecca Polihronis, an acquaintance of Sosa, who claims that that "he is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin."

"He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin," Polihronis said. "Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of (the photo appearance) is just the lighting."
