Jeff (Joel McHale) and Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) bond by gossiping about Britta's (Gillian Jacobs) new boyfriend. When Jeff tries to stop and be a good friend to Britta, he discovers that gossip is a difficult monster to escape. Meanwhile, Annie (Alison Brie) joins Professor Duncan's (guest star John Oliver) psychology research team and recruits Troy (Donald Glover) and Abed (Danny Pudi) as test subjects.
